Position Summary 

The Director of Product Design at Consumer Edge will play a significant role in the product organization that is part of CE’s rapidly growing business. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the ideal candidate will lead the functional design strategy and team of Product Designers. This individual will serve as a thought leader in defining which processes will become successful, further allowing the team to build strong products, contributing to the product roadmap and will have the opportunity to fully direct the end-to-end design strategy for numerous product groups. What You’ll Do 

  • Define the approach, results and processes that will allow our Product teams to be effective and create substantial products  
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with Product team members, senior leadership, and other cross-functional stakeholders, such as Engineering, to craft solutions and identify features and capabilities to enhance UX 
  • Lead, empower and develop a team of high-performing Product Designers  
  • Champion a culture of user-centered design through every touchpoint in the customer journey and understand customer needs, consistently analyzing feedback and implementing a strong design vision and enhancement strategies to deliver top notch customer experience  
  • Identify and oversee the execution of full user experiences through information architecture diagrams, wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Challenge the “we’ve always done it this way” way of thinking, push the boundaries of our design system, and establish a culture of creativity within the Product team and throughout the company 

What You’ll Have 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human computer interactions, communication design, visual arts, information science or related field  
  • 10+ years of experience as a Product Designer in web and mobile environments owning end-to-end product experiences, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership capacity & managing a team of direct reports
  • Strong portfolio presenting at least 3 case studies with clear indications of your specific contributions – Only submissions with portfolios will be considered 
  • Skilled knowledge or proficiency in Figma  
  • Experience working with Jira and comfortable adapting to other design systems and technologies 
  • Experience as a systems thinker, considering user mental models and cross-platform designs 
  • An understanding of balancing user needs with technical constraints and business considerations and balancing data with customer insights to make better informed design decisions
